The South African National Bioinformatics Institute (SANBI)

SANBI and the University of the Western Cape offer the first Bioinformatics graduate program in South Africa with world-class education. Graduates from the program have gone on to found companies and become faculty at prestigious research universities in South Africa and Europe.
SANBI is the first and leading national bioinformatics resource in South Africa. It is the South African node of EMBnet, an HIV vaccine development site and is the World Health Organisation centre for training in bioinformatics technologies for the continent of Africa.
